About AIMI

Welcome to AIMI, SW. We have been providing services and ministries to Native Americans in the Southwest area since 1988.

History

Bob and Bernice Faulkner were missionaries among Apache and Navajo children through Child Evangelism Fellowship. In 1988 they joined with some friends to put together the incorporation in AZ. with some friends and supporters to form American Indian Missions, Inc. They also helped a church called Indian Bible Fellowship on the San Carlos Apache Reservation. The Faulkners led the mission until 2003, when they began to ease into their retirement, and the mission appointed Roger Scarbro of Gallup,NM. to be AIMI’s second director in 2003.Several other missionaries have joined AIMI over the years, some short-term, and some long-term. AIMI missionaries have taken part in various types of ministries on the Apache, Navajo, Zuni, and other SW reservation areas. Some of these ministies have included youth and children’s clubs, sports camps, horse ministry, leadership conferences, discipling schools, church plants and development, Christian retreat center, and more. AIMI added to their ministry base in Globe. In the future AIMI is looking to further develop their disciple-making and church planting emphasis. Our goal is building relationships, teaching, and training converts to be the church…standing with them until they can stand as the church on their own.
